Step into the shoes of a world leader.
JAMUN Model UN gives middle schoolers the chance to debate real global issues, build critical skills, and discover their voice — no experience required.

A simulation of the United Nations.
Model United Nations is an academic simulation where students role-play as delegates of UN member states. You research a real country, debate global topics, negotiate with peers, and draft resolutions — just like real diplomats do.
JAMUN’s program is built specifically for grades 5–8 and designed so that even students with zero experience can thrive. Whether you’re passionate about climate change, human rights, or international security, there’s a committee for you.

Delegates discover strengths they didn’t know they had.
“Model UN taught me how to speak up for what I believe in. I used to be terrified of public speaking, but after my first conference I couldn’t wait for the next one.”
Four steps to diplomacy.
Every delegate follows the same path — from research to resolution. Here’s what a typical Model UN experience looks like.
Research Your Country
Dive deep into your assigned nation’s history, politics, and stance on global issues. Become the expert in the room.
Write Position Papers
Craft compelling documents that outline your country’s position and proposed solutions to world challenges.
Deliver Speeches
Take the floor to address the committee, articulate your positions, and respond to questions from other delegates.
Build Coalitions
Work with allies to draft resolutions, negotiate compromises, and build consensus on complex global issues.
What a conference day looks like.
Conferences are typically 1–2 days on weekends. Here’s the rhythm of a typical JAMUN conference.
Opening Ceremonies
Conferences begin with inspiring speakers and orientation to set the tone for productive diplomacy. You’ll learn the agenda and meet your committee.
Committee Sessions
Delegates debate topics, deliver speeches, and work in blocs to draft working papers and resolutions. This is where the real diplomacy happens.
Unmoderated Caucuses
Informal negotiation time where delegates move freely, form alliances, and draft collaborative documents away from the formal setting.
Voting & Awards
Committees vote on resolutions, and outstanding delegates are recognized with awards like Best Delegate, Outstanding Delegate, and Honorable Mention.

Low-cost conferences designed for every student.
We believe financial barriers should never prevent a student from experiencing Model UN. JAMUN conferences are affordable by design, and grants are available to cover up to 100% of conference costs for those who need them.
Skills that last a lifetime.
Model UN isn’t just about debating — it’s about building skills that matter in school, college applications, and beyond.
Public Speaking
Gain confidence speaking in front of groups, structuring arguments, and thinking on your feet under pressure.
Critical Thinking
Analyze complex problems from multiple perspectives and develop creative, nuanced solutions.
Collaboration
Learn to work with others, build consensus, and navigate diplomatic challenges across differences.
Research & Writing
Develop strong research skills and learn to write persuasive, well-structured policy documents.
Parents see the growth firsthand.
“My daughter used to be so shy she wouldn’t even raise her hand in class. After one semester of Model UN, she’s presenting in front of her entire school. The confidence she’s gained is incredible.”
